Licata and Oliver score all 6 TDs to lead Buffalo to 41-21 victory over Kent State

Joe Licata and Branden Oliver accounted for all six touchdowns to lead Buffalo to a 41-21 victory over Kent State Saturday.

Buffalo (6-2, 4-0 Mid-American Conference) started slow but entered the halftime break ahead 20-7. Licata, who had 285 passing yards with two touchdowns, tossed an 8-yard scoring strike to Alex Neutz to open the scoring. The point after was blocked.

Kent State (2-7, 1-4) scored on a Trayion Durham 5-yard run early in the second quarter to take the lead 7-6.

Oliver, the all-time career rushing leader for the Bulls, scored the next four touchdowns on runs for 5, 17, 38 and 4, to up the lead to 34-7. Oliver had 185 yards on 31 carries, averaging 6 yards a carry.

Neutz, who pulled in three catches for 75 yards, and Fred Lee with 72 yards on six catches, were Licata's main targets.
