Led by No. 18 Oregon State's surprising season, Pac-12 off to a jumbled start

Published November 20, 2014

Oregon State has been one of college football's unexpected stories after winning its first three games.

The 14th-ranked Beavers' surprise rise has been part of a jumbled start to the Pac-12 season.

The conference has six teams ranked in the Top 25, most since 2002, but there have been some unpredictable twists so far.

Arizona State, under new coach Todd Graham, leads the North after winning it first two conference games.

Southern California had its national-title hopes dented with a conference-opening loss to Stanford, which lost to surprising Washington in its next game.

Utah, a preseason pick to challenge USC in the South, is 2-2 and California hasn't lived up to expectations, either.

And, with two months still to go, there could be plenty more surprises in store.
