Knicks' Anthony has fluid drained from right knee, is questionable for Sunday at Clippers

Published January 13, 2015

Associated Press

The New York Knicks say Carmelo Anthony had fluid drained from the back of his right knee and is questionable for their game Sunday in Los Angeles against the Clippers.

Anthony left in the third quarter of the Knicks' 117-94 loss to Denver on Wednesday when the knee was bothering him again. He flew home to New York while the Knicks moved on to Portland for Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers.

Anthony recently missed three games with what the Knicks said was a sore and stiff right knee. He struggled through poor performances in the first two games of their five-game trip, getting held to nine points Wednesday, before deciding to have the procedure.
