King suffers another injury setback

Published November 20, 2014

Tottenham defender Ledley King is facing even more time on the sidelines after he suffered a setback in his recovery from a knee injury.

King's last match for Spurs came December 22 against Chelsea, with the 31- year-old being forced out because of chronic knee problems.

It was hoped that King would be fit in time to feature in Tottenham's game with Everton on Wednesday, but the veteran is now facing further time out after sustaining a hamstring injury in training.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has feared that King has torn the hamstring, which would leave him with a shortage of defenders for the near future.

Younes Kaboul, Sebastien Bassong and Michael Dawson, who has just returned after a four-month injury absence, would be the only healthy central defenders should King be out for an extended period of time.
