Kentucky tops ODU for Hall of Fame Tipoff title

Darius Miller and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist half run to lift second-ranked Kentucky to a 62-52 win over Old Dominion in the championship game of the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame Tipoff.

Miller and Kidd-Gilchrist each finished with 13 points, and combined for six in a 10-0 burst that enabled Kentucky (4-0) to expand a one-point margin down the stretch. Anthony Davis contributed 11 points and nine rebounds in the victory.

Chris Cooper scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Old Dominion (3-2), which had won three in a row, including a 68-66 overtime triumph over South Florida on Saturday. Trian Iliadis added 11 points in defeat.
