SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Reuters) - American Skip Kendall had a one-shot lead over Sweden's Richard Johnson at the Puerto Rico Open on Friday after completing just nine holes of the delayed first round.
Thursday's opening round was washed out by rain and there was another long stoppage on Friday due to further inclement weather.
Starting on the back nine, Kendall eagled his first hole, the par-four 10th and produced three birdies before he was halted at the turn.
Johnson had four birdies from eight holes and was tied in second place with American Kevin Streelman.
The first round will resume on Saturday.
