Kemp earns NL Player of the Week honors

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp was named the National League Player of the Week on Monday.

In six games last week, Kemp hit .409 (9-for-22) with five home runs and nine RBI while pacing the NL with a 1.091 slugging percentage. He added a stolen base and six runs scored.

This is Kemp's fifth career weekly honor.

Kemp's Dodger teammate Clayton Kershaw, Pittsburgh's Josh Harrison and Vance Worley, Milwaukee's Aramis Ramirez, Cincinnati's Aroldis Chapman and Mike Leake and Washington's Stephen Strasburg were also considered for the award.
