Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal scored with 0 win over 10-man Cesena on Sunday at Juventus Stadium.
Juve won for the fifth time in its last six matches, and sits atop the Serie A standings on 29 points, despite losing captain Alessandro Del Piero following a kick to the face against Cesena that required eight stitches.
AC Milan and Udinese are both two points back of leaders Juventus.
Del Piero left on a stretcher early in the second half following a boot to the face by Cesena's Marco Rossi, and Marchisio followed with the opening goal of the match in the 72nd.
Vidal set up the opener with a through ball, and Marchisio converted a left- footed shot to the lower-right corner. Vidal added the second goal when Cesena goalie Francesco Antonioli fouled Emanuele Giaccherini in the area.
Antonioli was shown the red card, and when Vidal converted to the bottom right in the 83rd, Juve sealed its fifth home in seven games, and eighth win overall through 13 league games.
Cesena lost for the fifth time in six road matches, and is just one point off the bottom of the standings.
Fiorentina 3, Roma 0
Florence, Italy - Stevan Jovetic, Alessandro Gamberini and Santiago Silva gave Fiorentina an easy 3-0 win over eight-man Roma on Sunday at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Fiorentina snapped a three-match winless skid and remained within 13 points of first-place Juventus. Roma lost its second straight and for the third time in its last five to slip 12 points off the pace.
Jovetic scored the opener from the penalty spot after the sending off of Juan, and Gamberini sent Fiorentina into halftime with a two-goal lead as he notched a goal in the 44th minute.
Fernando Gago earned his marching orders in the 75th as Roma went down to nine men, then Bojan Krkic gave away a penalty kick and was shown red to set up the final goal from the spot from Olivera in the 86th.
Catania, Italy - Victor Ibarbo scored in the 64th minute and Catania snapped a seven-match winless slide with a 1-0 win over Cagliari on Sunday at the Stadio Angelo Massimino in Serie A.
Ibarbo scored the lone goal off a pass from Daniele Conti with a finish to the bottom-right corner, as Cagliari won for the third time on the road already in league play.
Catania lost for the third time in its last four, as it lost at home for just the second time in seven matches this season.
Bologna 1, Siena 0
Bologna, Italy - Marco Di Vaio scored midway through the first half as Bologna climbed four points above the relegation zone Sunday with a 1-0 win over Siena at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara in Serie A.
Di Vaio took a pass from Alessandro Diamanti and netted the lone goal from a tight angle on the right side.
Siena lost for the third time during a four-game winless skid, as it fell into a tie on points with Bologna and Inter Milan near the bottom of the table.
Chievo 0, Atalanta 0
Verona, Italy - Atalanta posted its third straight draw during a four-game run without a defeat with a 0-0 tie against Chievo at the Stadio M.A. Bentegodi in Serie A on Sunday.
Atalanta is five points above the relegation zone in 14th, while Chievo is six points clear.
Parma 0, Palermo 0
Parma, Italy - Parma and Palermo played to a 0-0 draw at a foggy Stadio Ennio Tardini on Sunday in Serie A.
Both sides created a handful of chances without success, as Palermo earned its second point in seven road matches this season. Although Palermo is sixth, it has five losses and two draws on the road.
Parma dropped points at home for the third time in seven matches and sits just six points above the bottom three.
