Justin Rose discovers his driver has been misplaced hours before 1st round of British Open

Justin Rose played the first two holes of his opening round of the British Open without a driver after it was mistakenly removed from his golf bag by his caddie.

Rose's caddie, Mark Fulcher, had arranged to send two drivers to a couple of his friends in the south of England. Unfortunately, one of the drivers he gave away belonged to Rose.

The driver was eventually returned to Rose — but only after he started his round at Royal Liverpool.

Rose says "it was a bit of a comedic start to the day, no doubt."

The 2013 U.S. Open champion shot an even-par 72 to lie six strokes behind leader Rory McIlroy.
