Ashja Jones recorded a double-double Friday night with 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Connecticut Sun over the Washington Mystics, 77-64, at Verizon Center.

Mistie Mims added 15 points, while Tina Charles registered a double-double of her own with 13 points and 10 boards as the Sun earned their sixth-straight victory over the sliding Mystics.

Washington was led by Monique Currie's 21 points, while Crystal Langhorne chipped in 11 points, but the last-place Mystics dropped their fifth consecutive contest.

The Sun came out blazing over the first 10 minutes, shooting nearly 60 percent in the first quarter to grab a 22-17 lead.

Washington pulled within 36-32 at the break, but Connecticut blew the game open in the third, outscoring the Mystics 27-12 to take a 19-point lead into the final frame.
