New York Jets wide receiver Jeremy Kerley has seen his production dip in each season since 2012. He's been relatively healthy, playing in 28 games over the past two seasons, but his numbers haven't matched his playing time.

Now with Brandon Marshall, Devin Smith, and Eric Decker leading the wide receiver group, Kerley is in an unfamiliar position. He's not on the verge of being cut, but now in a backup role, Kerley calls the situation "weird."

"[It] felt really weird," Kerley said, per Rich Cimini of ESPN. "We have new coaches and they didn't get to see a lot of me."

Whether or not that notion is correct has yet to be determined, given it's Todd Bowles' first season with the team. Still, Kerley has yet to make a splash this offseason. In the preseason opener last night, Kerley failed to record a catch. That's not going to deter him from working hard, though.

"I'll let my play do the talking," he said.
