The New York Jets signed fourth-round draft pick Dakota Dozier and seventh-rounder Trevor Reilly to four-year contracts Wednesday.
Dozier, a guard, and Reilly, an outside linebacker, are the first of the Jets' 12 draft picks to sign. The deal for Dozier is worth about $2.5 million, under the league's collective bargaining agreement, while Reilly's contract is for about $2.3 million.
Dozier played mostly left tackle at Furman, but started his last two games at guard. Nicknamed "Bull Dozier" in college, he's expected to play guard for the Jets.
Reilly had 8 1/2 sacks last season at Utah. He has one of the more intriguing backstories among the Jets' draft picks.
