NEW YORK (Reuters) - New York Jets defensive end Shaun Ellis has a broken left hand but will still play in the AFC Championship game against Indianapolis, the NFL team reported on Monday on their website (http://www.newyorkjets.com).
Ellis suffered the injury on the Jets' first defensive play of their 17-14 victory over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.
Ten-year veteran Ellis will require surgery after the game against the Colts and will wear a cast in the meantime.
