Islanders place Grabner on IR

Uniondale, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Islanders on Wednesday placed forward Michael Grabner on injured reserve with a lower-body injury.

The move is retroactive to Dec. 13.

Grabner made his season debut on Dec. 4 after missing two months because of hernia surgery. He had two goals in five games before his latest setback.
