Ikeda captures Canon Open

Yuta Ikeda shot a 3-under 69 at Totsuka Country Club on Sunday to win the Canon Open.

Ikeda, who also won the event in 2009, led after every round and finished with a 17-under 271 to secure his 10th career Japan Tour victory.

Jung-Gon Hwang and Taichi Teshima both shot a 2-under 70 on Sunday to tie for second place at 14-under 274, while Masamichi Uehira (70) and Ryo Ishikawa (73) finished tied for fourth at 11-under.

The 26-year-old Ikeda fired a 6-under 66 in the opening round and followed with a 68 in both the second and third rounds to stay on top entering the final day.
