New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Indiana Pacers guard-forward P.J. Hairston was fined $5,000 by the NBA on Thursday for violating the league's anti- flopping rules for the second time this season.

The flop occurred early in the fourth quarter in Charlotte's loss to San Antonio on Wednesday. Spurs guard Tony Parker made contact with him dribbling the basketball, and Hairston spun and stumbled to the ground several feet away from the point of contact.

Hairston was issued a warning for his first flop in November against the Golden State Warriors, and subsequent flops will result in escalating fines. Hairston is the second NBA player to be fined for flopping after Pacers guard C.J. Watson was punished earlier this month.
