Sacramento, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Carl Landry will begin his second stint with the Sacramento Kings on the shelf.
The team announced Monday that the forward is expected to miss 3-to-4 months with a hip injury that will require surgery.
Landry suffered a tear in his left hip flexor during a recent training camp practice. He is scheduled to have surgery Tuesday morning.
The 30-year-old signed a multi-year contract as a free agent in the summer to return to the club with which he played parts of the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons.
For his career, Landry has averaged 11.9 points and 5.3 rebounds in 389 games with Houston, Sacramento, New Orleans and Golden State.
