Almelo, Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - Brian Linssen scored twice in the second half as Heracles came from two goals down to earn a 2-2 home draw with league-leaders Vitesse on Saturday.
The visitors appeared to be headed for three points when Patrick Van Aanholt gave them the lead inside of six minutes, while Lucas Piazon doubled the advantage shortly before halftime to put his side up 2-0 at the break.
But Linssen gave his team a lifeline when he scored in the 51st minute, and the 23-year-old brought his side all the way back with another goal 13 minutes from time.
Heracles moves five points clear of the bottom three with that point, while Vitesse sits three above second-place Ajax, which travels to Roda on Sunday with the chance to move level at the top with a win.
AZ Alkmaar suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat at home to Heerenveen with two goals coming from Hakim Ziyech, NAC topped Cambuur, 1-0, in a battle of bottom-half outfits with Anouar Hadouir scoring the lone goal in the 74th minute, and Lex Immers found the net twice in the first half for Feyenoord, which turned back Zwolle, 3-0.
