Miami's Dream Team keeps getting harder to like.
Dwyane Wade made a stupid reference to the World Trade Center yesterday when he compared the tragedy to the intense pressure on the Heat to win this season after its additions of LeBron James and Chris Bosh.
Wade was originally quoted in an AOL FanHouse story saying, "If we lose a couple in a row this season, it will be like the World Trade [Center] is coming down again."
Later in the day, AOL sent a different version of the Wade quote, with an AOL editor's note explaining a transcription error was made and "deeply regret the error."
Nevertheless, in the second version Wade, who was speaking at his charity basketball event at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, still made an insensitive reference to 9/11.
