CINCINNATI -- The Diamondbacks activated Chris Owings off the 15-day disabled list Saturday before the second game of their series against the Reds in Cincinnati.
Owings had been sidelined by an inflamed arch in his left foot. The infielder/outfielder batted .285 with 10 doubles, four triples, two homers and 18 RBIs in 54 games before going on the DL.
Arizona put infielder Nick Ahmed on the 15-day disabled list with a sore right hip. He was batting .218 with nine doubles, one triple, four homers and 20 RBIs in 90 games.
Ahmed started at shortstop on Friday and went 0 for 2 with a walk during Cincinnati's 6-2 win.
