Hartford uses 3-pointer to beat Binghamton 72-61

Joe Zeglinski scored 26 points on 7-for-11 shooting from 3-point range to lead Hartford over Binghamton 72-61 on Monday night.

The Hawks (6-11, 3-1 America East Conference) were 15 of 32 from 3-point range (46.9 percent) and shot 48.1 percent from the field (26 of 54).

Milton Burton added 13 points and Anthony Minor dished out seven assists for Hartford, who finished with 22, compared to 12 by the Bearcats.

The Hawks, who led the entire way, scored 22 points off 16 Binghamton turnovers and led by as many as 31 with 10:33 to play.

Hartford made 9 of 17 3-pointers in the first half (52.9 percent) to lead 40-20 at halftime.

It was Hartford's first win after a three-game winning streak ended in a 57-54 loss to New Hampshire on Jan. 11.

Kyrie Sutton led the Bearcats (6-12, 3-2) with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Moussa Camara added 10 points for Binghamton.
