Joe Zeglinski scored a career-high 33 points to lead Hartford over Maine 74-65 on Thursday night to complete a season sweep against the Black Bears.

The Hawks (8-16, 5-6 America East Conference) defeated Maine 61-59 on Jan. 5 and avenged last season's series sweep by the Black Bears.

Hartford used a 12-0 run in the opening half to build a 40-29 lead at intermission. Zeglinski scored 19 points in the first half on four 3-pointers and 7-of-11 shooting overall.

The Hawks led by as many as 17, 70-53, in the second half and shot 12 for 23 from the floor (52.2 percent) after the break.

Gerald McLemore scored 18 points for the Black Bears (14-10, 8-4), who have lost three in a row after a seven-game winning streak.

Zeglinski grabbed nine rebounds for the Hawks, who outrebounded Maine 35-25 and snapped a four-game losing skid.
