Hannover, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Hannover maintained its unbeaten start to the Bundesliga season on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Hamburg at the AWD Arena.
Through their first two matches, Hannover has collected a 2-1 win over Schalke and a point away from home with a scoreless draw against Mainz. The club started quickly in front of the home fans as Leon Andreasen struck for the opening tally after 13 minutes.
The hosts then doubled their advantage in the 24th minute through a goal from Artur Sobiech, and the two-goal margin was enough for Hannover to hold on and collect all three points.
The result lifts Hannover into the top-three in the Bundesliga with seven points, while Hamburg drops to the bottom of the table with one point from its first three matches.
Also in Germany on Sunday, Raul Marcelo Bobadilla scored four minutes into the second half to hand Augsburg a 1-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the Commerzbank Arena.
Augsburg rises to 12th place with three points from three games, while Eintracht remains in 10th place on four points.
