Hamsik signs Napoli extension

Napoli announced on Friday that the club has year contract extension, keeping the Slovakia international in Naples until June 2016.

The 24-year-old joined Napoli from Brescia in 2007 and has gone on to appear 168 matches for the club, scoring 47 goals.

Hamsik has played a key role in Napoli reaching the round of 16 in this year's Champions League, with the team holding a 3-1 lead on Chelsea entering the second leg at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
