Hampton football announces 10-game schedule

Hampton University on Monday released a 10-game football schedule for the upcoming season - one game below what is allowed by the NCAA to FCS programs.

The Pirates, from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, will play four home games at Armstrong Stadium: Sept. 8, Old Dominion; Sept. 29, Bethune-Cookman; Oct. 13, Norfolk State in the annual Battle of the Bay; and Oct, 27, Savannah State on Homecoming Day.

Hampton's road games are against Tennessee Tech (Aug. 30), Florida A&M (Sept. 15), North Carolina Central (Oct. 20), Howard (Nov. 3), Delaware State (Nov. 10) and Morgan State (Nov. 17).

The Pirates, coming into their fourth season under head coach Donovan Rose, finished 7-4 last year.
