Teammate Nick Ramirez added a two-run homer, and pitcher Raymond Hernandez retired the first eight batters he faced in three innings of relief to earn his first victory.

Michael Kvasnicka had three hits and two RBIs for the Golden Gophers (32-30), who were trying to qualify for their first Super Regional. Kyle Geason added a solo homer.
