Fresno State schedules road games at Texas A&M, Arizona St.

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) Fresno State has scheduled football games at Texas A&M in 2020 and Arizona State in 2023.

Athletic director Jim Bartko announced the single-game contracts on Thursday. Bartko says these games satisfy the need to play elite competition and to earn money to help fund the athletic department.

Fresno State played Texas A&M once previously in 2007 in College Station, Texas. The Bulldogs have played Arizona State three times, with the most recent coming in 1941.

Fresno State also has games scheduled at Nebraska in 2016, at Alabama and Washington in 2017, at Colorado and home against Minnesota in 2019 and at Oregon and UCLA in 2021.
