Fred lifts Brazil with late equalizer in 1-1 draw with Russia in friendly at London

Fred scored in the 90th minute to give Brazil a 1-1 draw against Russia on Monday.

Brazil, the 2014 World Cup hosts, doesn't have a win since Luiz Felipe Scolari returned as coach.

Victor Fayzulin gave Russia a 1-0 lead in the 73rd minute with a powerful strike.

But Fred completed a flowing move instigated by substitute Hulk, tapping Marcelo's cross into the net from close range at Stamford Bridge.

Scolari avoided losing in his return to the Chelsea ground where he was in charge for only seven months before being fired in 2009.

Brazil has lost to England and drawn with Italy since Scolari was re-hired to repeat his 2002 World Cup-winning success.
