Fred Couples, former Masters champ and sports junkie, gets own radio show on SiriusXM

Published February 05, 2015

Associated Press

Fred Couples has been talking sports for 20 years at PGA Tour events. Now he can do that as host of his own radio show.

"The Fred Couples Show" will make its debut on SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio on Sept. 25, the night before the Ryder Cup begins. Along with being a Masters champion and former No. 1 player in the world, Couples is a sports junkie.

He says the monthly show should be easy once he gets past the embarrassment of introducing himself. Couples will host the show with good friend George Downing from Los Angeles.

After the debut, the show will be every Tuesday at 7 p.m. EDT. Couples will take phone calls and talk about golf and any other sports that are in the news.
