Franzen, Henrique, Kuemper named NHL's 'Three Stars'

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Forwards Johan Franzen of Detroit and Adam Henrique of New Jersey joined Minnesota goaltender Darcy Kuemper as the NHL's 'Three Stars' for the first week following the Olympic break.

Franzen returned from a concussion to earn the First Star. He assisted on both goals in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime victory against Montreal and registered his sixth career hat trick as the Red Wings routed Ottawa, 6-1, on Thursday.

Henrique picked up the Second Star after collecting two points in three consecutive games. He shared the league lead with four goals and six points.

Kuemper posted wins in two starts with a 0.48 goals-against average to claim the Third Star.
