Leonard Fournette is getting his wish.

In an incredibly grand gesture, his game-worn jersey (also signed) will be auctioned off to raise funds for the flooding victims in South Carolina. The LSU running back made his intentions publicly known after the 45-24 victory over the Gamecocks earlier in October. As such, the auction for the jersey will begin on Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. CT, and will end Monday at 11:00 a.m. CT. The opening bid for the item will be $7,000.

If you're in the market for more memorabilia, both Les Miles and Steve Spurrier have gotten involved with the efforts. Each coach will sign a football helmet from their respective (and former) schools.

This surely hits home for Fournette. Stranded for days after Hurricane Katrina first hit, he knows what it means to be displaced via a natural disaster. Credit him and the coaches for using their platforms for a wonderful cause.
