ST. LOUIS -- Former NBA player Darius Miles has been arrested after security officers found him carrying a loaded gun at Lambert Airport in St. Louis.

Transportation Security Administration workers discovered the gun in X-ray screening Wednesday afternoon.

Ginna Jones, a bonding specialist at the St. Louis County jail, says Miles was booked then released Wednesday. No charges have been filed.

Miles' phone number is not listed and his attorney did not respond to messages.

Miles is a native of East St. Louis, Ill. He was picked No. 3 out of East St. Louis High School in the 2000 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. He last played in 2009 for Memphis.

Miles was arrested in 2009 in Fairview Heights, Ill., for possessing marijuana and he completed court-ordered drug education.
