Florida State's defenses looking to shut down Glennon, NC State offense for 2nd straight year

Published November 20, 2014

Associated Press

North Carolina State's Mike Glennon gets a chance for redemption on Saturday after he had one of his poorest games of his career a year ago against Florida State.

Glennon and the Wolfpack host the third-ranked Seminoles in their first Atlantic Coast Conference road game of the season. Generating offense will be a tough challenge for NC State (3-2, 0-1 ACC).

The Seminoles (5-0, 2-0) have the league's best defense and the top two pass rushers. Defensive ends Cornellius Carradine and Bjoern Werner have 13½ sacks between them this season for a defense that ranks first across the board in the conference in all of the key defensive categories.

Florida State defeated NC State 34-0 last year and limited Glennon to a career-low 130 yards passing and intercepted him twice.
