In the top of the 5th inning Kansas City right fielder Alex Rios sent a pitch from Josh Tomlin sailing over the left field wall for a solo home run.

Usually after the visiting team hits a home run you may hear some boos or even some applause but not fireworks, right?

Well, the fireworks technician at Progressive Field, mistakenly thinking the home run was hit by a member of the Indians, hit the button to send a firework up into the night sky causing fans at the ballpark to boo him and not Alex Rios.

TV cameras caught the fireworks guy immediately after and he didn't seem to happy about the mistake.

It's okay, man. We forgive you.
