Fichardt wins Vodacom by one

Darren Fichardt posted a six- under 64 Friday to win the Vodacom Origins of Golf.

Fichardt finished his 11th Sunshine Tour title at six-under-par 204.

The South African opened with six straight pars before making birdie for the third straight day on the par-five seventh.

Around the turn, Fichardt posted three more birdies to go along with an eagle on the par-five 12th.

David Hewan posted his second straight four-under 66 to take second place at minus-five. He had three birdies on the front nine, then had a bogey and two more birdies on the back nine to take second place.

Jbe' Kruger (68), Tjaart van der Walt (68), Christiaan Basson (69), Shaun Norris (69) and second-round leader Jean Hugo (73) shared third place at three-under-par 207.
