Felix Hernandez and Clayton Kershaw each allow 3 runs, Mariners beat Dodgers 10-7

Published January 13, 2015

Associated Press

Felix Hernandez allowed three runs in six innings in his last start of spring training, helping the Seattle Mariners beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-7 Wednesday.

Clayton Kershaw, also tuning up for opening day, pitched three innings and gave up three runs and five hits. He faced only 15 batters for the Dodgers.

Kershaw gave up a two-run home run to Seattle's Michael Morse, who has eight this spring. Kendrys Morales, Dustin Ackley, Jesus Montero and Robert Andino each had two hits for the Mariners.

The Dodgers fielded a starting lineup of mostly minor leaguers. Relief pitcher Ted Lilly drove in two runs with a two-out double off Hernandez in the sixth.

Mariners manager Eric Wedge was ejected in that inning for arguing balls and strikes.
