Mason, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Roger Federer will be aiming for an unprecedented sixth career title at the $3 million Western & Southern Open after reaching the championship match with a convincing win over Milos Raonic on Saturday.

The second-seeded Federer broke Raonic twice in the first set and scored another break late in the match to cruise to a 6-2, 6-3 victory over the fifth-seeded Canadian in just 68 minutes at Lindner Family Tennis Center.

Federer, who has titled in this Masters 1000 event in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2012 and never lost in the finals here, will take on David Ferrer in Sunday's championship clash after the sixth-seeded Spaniard also won his semifinal in straight sets.

Ferrer defeated France's Julian Benneteau 6-3, 6-2 in 71 minutes in Saturday's first semi.

Ferrer reached his third final of the season and will be seeking his second title in 2014.

Raonic and Benneteau took home $157,645 as semifinalists. Sunday's winner at this U.S. Open Series tournament will earn $638,850.
