Fans can name Albany-Stony Brook rivalry game

Fans are being given the opportunity to name the annual Albany-Stony Brook rivalry football game.

Both programs, which are joining CAA Football this season, will offer fans the opportunity to make suggestions by using the hashtag EmpireClash on Twitter or through the athletic departments' Facebook pages.

A trophy will be created by the schools around the winning entry and presented at the annual game.

This year's game will be played at Stony Brook on Nov. 23. The annual game will become the final regular-season contest for both teams going forward.
