The Philadelphia Eagles got the boost they needed in Week 3 when running back Darren Sproles returned an 89-yard punt to the house. His touchdown helped lead the Eagles to their first win of the season, and he earned the honor of being named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week, for the fourth time in his career.

With DeMarco Murray out with a hamstring injury, Sproles also played a key role on offense in Week 3. His role in offense has expanded overall from the 2014 season, despite the fact that the Eagles have both Murray and Ryan Mathews in the backfield. Sproles has seen 73 snaps through the first three games, good for second most on the team behind Murray and ahead of Mathews.
