New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Reigning NBA MVP Kevin Durant will make his season debut Tuesday night when the Oklahoma City Thunder play the New Orleans Pelicans.

Durant, 26, had surgery to repair a fracture in his right foot on Oct. 16 and had a timetable to be re-evaluated in six weeks. He was diagnosed with a Jones fracture, a broken bone at the base of the small toe.

Last season Durant averaged a league-best 32.0 points, 7.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists, and his return provides a big boost to the Thunder, who just got Russell Westbrook back from a fractured hand on Friday.
