NEW YORK (AP) - Rangers captain Chris Drury is back in the lineup for the first time in two months, just as New York tries to save its season.

Drury, out since Feb. 3 because of a knee injury, will play Saturday in the regular-season finale against the New Jersey Devils. Rangers coach John Tortorella made the surprising announcement shortly before the puck dropped for the matinee game.

It is been a lost season for the 34-year-old center. He was limited to 23 games because of a twice-broken finger and a knee injury that required surgery in February. He has missed 27 consecutive games, but had been on the ice for seven straight days before his return.

Drury has no goals and only four assists this season. He is replacing Sean Avery in the lineup against New Jersey.
