Dream rout Liberty for 6th straight win

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Angel McCoughtry poured in 18 points, and Atlanta tied a franchise record with its sixth straight victory in an 85-64 rout of New York on Sunday afternoon.

Tiffany Hayes finished with 16 points for the Dream, who also won six straight last season. Shoni Shimmel posted 14 points, Erika de Souza had 11 and Aneika Henry contributed 10 for the victorious visitors.

Alex Montgomery had 11 points and veteran reserve forward DeLisha Milton-Jones scored 10 to lead the Liberty, who have dropped five straight.

Atlanta gained separation with a strong second quarter, turning a four-point edge into a 49-35 margin at the break. The Dream's lead stretched as high as 23 in the late stages.
