A trio of Borussia Dortmund players will miss time in the coming weeks due to injury problems, including defender Mats Hummels.
Jakub Blaszczykowski and Sven Bender also sustained injuries in Dortmund's 1-1 draw with Hannover on Sunday, leaving the defending Bundesliga champions without a few key options in the next few weeks.
Hummels is expected to be out for at least two weeks with a bruised foot, which also rules him out of Germany's upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Ireland and Sweden.
The news is worse on Poland international Blaszczykowski, who is going to miss six weeks because of an ankle problem, while Bender was hit in the face and suffered a problem with his eye that will require two weeks on the sidelines.
