Dortmund, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Borussia Dortmund put an end to a seven-match winless run in league play on Sunday, outlasting Monchengladbach for a 1-0 win at Signal Iduna Park.

Dortmund entered Sunday's match in unfamiliar territory, sitting at the very bottom of the Bundesliga table in desperate need of points. Surprisingly, however, domestic struggles have done little to dent Dortmund's European form as the club is coming off a 4-1 win over Turkish side Galatasaray in the Champions league.

Monchengladbach came into the match in fine form, riding a 10-match unbeaten streak in league play, and it was a tight affair for the duration of the 90 minutes.

Dortmund dominated proceedings, keeping 53 percent of possession and firing five attempts on target while holding 'Gladbach without an attempt on frame.

The breakthrough came in the 58th minute when German international Christoph Kramer knocked the ball into his own net to give the home side a fortunate advantage.

Dortmund's back line held firm to give Jurgen Klopp's side its third victory of the Bundesliga season, and move the club off the bottom of the table and into 15th place with 10 points.

Monchengladbach remains in third place with 20 points, seven behind leaders Bayern Munich.

Also in the Bundesliga on Sunday, Wolfsburg claimed a sixth consecutive win in league play with a 2-0 victory over Hamburg behind goals from Ivica Olic and Aaron Hunt.

The win moves Wolfsburg into second place with 23 points, while Hamburg drops to 17th place with nine points from 11 matches played.
