Dolphins tackle Randy Starks ruled out against Oakland because of back injury

Published February 05, 2015

Associated Press

Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Randy Starks has been ruled out of Sunday's game against Oakland in London because of a back injury.

Starks didn't participate in practice this week and was ruled out Friday. The game will be the first he has missed since joining the Dolphins in 2008.

Veteran Jared Odrick, who is part of the regular rotation, will start in place of Starks.

Center Mike Pouncey (hip), middle linebacker Koa Misi (ankle) and guard Shelley Smith (knee) were listed as doubtful. Pouncey has been practicing, but has yet to play after undergoing offseason surgery.

Rookie reserve linebacker Chris McCain was ruled out for personal reasons.
