Dolphins ink DL Martin

The Miami Dolphins signed free-agent defensive lineman Vaughn Martin on Thursday.

Over the course of his four-year career, all with the San Diego Chargers, the University of Western Ontario product has registered 78 tackles and three sacks.

"We are excited that Vaughn is a member of the Dolphins," Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland said. "He is an athletic player that we feel will make a positive impact and bring depth to the defensive side of the ball."

Martin is the 12th player Miami has signed since free agency began two weeks ago, including five who were with the Dolphins last year.
