Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Dodgers activated pitcher Josh Beckett from the 15-day disabled list to start against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday.

Beckett, who last pitched on July 6 and landed on the DL because of a left hip impingement, will return to counter Pirates right-hander Vance Worley.

The 34-year-old has compiled a 6-5 record with a 2.26 ERA over 17 starts this season, including a no-hitter against Philadelphia on May 25.

The Dodgers optioned pitcher Paco Rodriguez to Triple-A Albuquerque to make room for Beckett.

Rodriguez made 12 relief appearances for Los Angeles this season.
