NEW YORK (Reuters) - New Jersey Devils forward Zach Parise will miss three months after having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, the NHL team said on Tuesday.
Parise, who led the Devils in goals scored in each of the past four seasons, had exploratory arthroscopic surgery Tuesday and a torn meniscus was repaired.
"As a result, he will be out of action for three months," the Devils said in a statement.
Parise had three goals and three assists in his 12 games with the Devils this season.
