De Souza re-signs with Dream

Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - All-Star center Erika de Souza has re-signed with the Atlanta Dream.
The team announced the deal Wednesday but did not disclose any details.
De Souza, who is 6-foot-5, averaged 12.9 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 34 games this past season -- all career highs.
She has been with the Dream since the team's inaugural season in 2008 and has helped them win the Eastern Conference three times in the last four years.
Dream vice president and general manager Angela Taylor said re-signing de Souza was an offseason priority "because she is one of the best centers in the world and will be a key part of our championship efforts this year and in the future."
