New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Chicago White Sox minor leaguer Nicholas Blount and Chicago Cubs minor leaguer Elliot Soto were both suspended 50 games without pay following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Blount, a right-handed pitcher, tested positive for an Amphetamine. Blount is currently on the roster of the rookie-level Great Falls Voyagers of the Pioneer League.

Soto, a shortstop on the roster of the Single-A Daytona Cubs of the Florida State League, was suspended for a second violation for a drug of abuse.
